The Gameschooling Guide

Board Games

Video Games

Imagination Games

How could anyone play games and learn? There are many families that have found the value of play and connection in learning. Really, isn’t that what we all want learning to be? Joyful and fun while building valuable connections.

You can find my Gameschooling Guide below. This is a curated list of games that fellow unschooling mom and gameschooler, Tira Hunter have compiled. These are games that our families have played and enjoyed or that have been recommended to us from other gameschoolers. For ease I have divided the list into games that fall under “subject” topics such as Science, Math or Literacy. Each game includes either a short description or the learning that you can find through playing the game. I have also included a link to the creator website or purchase site. Some of the links are affiliate links.

We acknowledge that we have not included every game. That is a huge list. We have also not included the extensive list of video games and apps that are also available. That can be a future list 😉

I hope that this list proves useful to you. I think it will, even if you discover just one game that your family ends up loving.
